Not even suitable for a 10 year old. I'd rather pay Metropcs an extra $10/month for a smarter phone and unlimited everything especially data which my kid uses when not on wifi. I bought the phone from groupon for $40 bucks... my bad for being a single income household and on a budget. Quality shouldn't suffer. I definitely do not recommend!

Ordered 5 sims for family and tested over 3 months. -Keeps losing reception -when deleting a single thread for privacy reasons deletes the entire record of everyone!!!! -poor quality of service! -continued errors in making calls and service! -cannot use stsd messaging app! -users cannot reach number even though on and has reception bars!! -too easy to add services by mistake -Poor customer services - persons dont understand english! -customer... Today is 1152017... I ordered a phone from freedompop on 1232016..First thing... you cannot talk to any human if you call the customer service hotline. You will hear a very long recording and then you will be directed to outer space. I still haven't figured out how I got two sim cards, but I never used either of them. Still, they have taken four payments of $27.98 out of my bank account for two premium plans that they couldn't possibly provide me, because the sims were NEVER, ever used. Freedompop is a scam. Don't do it! Overcharge with terrible customer sevice. It's not worth just saving a couple of dollars .

There is literally no way to get any resolution from FreedomPop. I am owed a refund in excess of $150, yet the only way to get any kind of response is to reach out via iMessenger. After DAYS, a response comes but with each new response, seemingly a new person (or exceptionally shady person) as the query always starts back at the very beginning so any "progress" is moot and money is still being extracted from your account. I see how they scam people, they take so long to respond they hope you forget, or the bank wont charge back because its been 9 months. They close your freedompop account so there is no paper trail and no way to contact them. I hate this company more than anything on earth. I bought my 11 year old a phone for Christmas. It was supposed to have first month free. They started charging me for everything not just data at a rate of $0.02 MB. After checking my bank account I found they chargec a total of $90.00

I ordered a Freedompop phone over 3 months ago and they still haven't shipped my phone to me. They have escalated the issue twice and told me that there is nothing that they can do.
