Freedompop is a Scam

I didn't knowing agree to an expensive plan, but they said I did. They require the use of an app to receive text messages (sms) and calls. When I complained about the charges they said they were non-refundable and now that I'm on the expensive plan I needed to pay $20 to cancel and lose all my data. Pure scam.

Had a FreedomPop phone for a couple of years and barely used it. Maybe once a year or so my son would fly into town and we'd use it to connect at the airport. Most of those times I'd discover that phone had been disabled due to my not using it. So I'd never get to use...

After bad experiences with their free plan (unusably poor voice quality, needing to reregister the phone frequently, etc.) I bought an annual plan. That worked well for months. However, recently I cannot make outgoing calls and outgoing texts are hit-or-miss. I filed a...

I originally wanted to try the $0.01 free trial. The first issue was when I got twice as much as I asked for. (2 sim cards instead of one.) I didn't really worry that much as it was just another penny. I made sure before the end of the month to cancel my plan....

I have never signed up for a paid plan with this company, but canceled the trials before they expired. My first unlocked phone did not work because Freedom Pop did not say what version of Android was required and the device would not update to the minimum. I canceled...

I called into Freedom pop and was told it would be 19.99 for a sim card when I protested the rep dropped the price to 4.99. That should have been a sign something was wrong. So I asked if I can bring my own phone. Yes the rep said and checked it to see if it was...

LOL...six months ago a sim cost $.99 and a second one was $.01. Now they are $2.99 when you order online. When you talk to "sales" they charge more (usually $9.95) but, hey, t...

Throw them a bone, were talking a decent phone at a good price with FREE monthly service. All other providers are making a fortune off people. Hows the actual phone-call service? Crapy but getting a little better every year, just text instead. All other...

I ordered a phone and a plan, then I canceled a day later, because I realized I would not be worth it anymore. However it was hard to cancel, the lady on the phone kept coming up with excuses for me to stay in the company. After a long argument she said ok, and would...

I paid $21.79 for the $0.01 Sim card, and Free service!I haven't even got the sim yet, already deactivated my account. Screw the refund, I would just like to know before a company repeatably charges my account. There is no way to actually talk to a representative...
