Every month I have to call in to renew my ACP. Its ridiculous! And its not like Im getting unlimited , I still run out of data each month.

I chose to go with rogers after 13 years with freedom. They still took out the payment.
Ive called several times. and each time it's a different story. It's coming on the new billing cycle nope. Ok now you have to wait 6 more business days.
Then he says it's in the mail. Then same person takes my ladir st digits on my credit card and he will call me in 2 hours. Nope I called again and this person sounded like he would help. Hung up.
I didn't yell or say a word to make him do this. I call again this woman tells me 6-8 weeks and the date started yesterday! I asked for supervisor 20 mins later I hung up. That's ridiculous.
No matter how much it is its the principle. After this I would never recommend them.

Freedom *** privides the crappiest service I have ever seen. You cannot make direct calls without their garbage app and if you have any connection problems then you will wait several days to get support via email because they don't have a phone support.

I haven't used the FreedomPop service for years. I haven't received any communication with them since 2018 when I complained about the $0.01 charge they were making on a monthly basis (after I had stopped using the service 2 years before) and they refunded one month and stopped charging me.
Now in June and July of 2021 they have started charging me $4.04 each month.
Edit: after too much time on the phone they have partially resolved it. At first they strongly defended their decision to start charging me (despite having stopped using the service 5 years ago and officially closing the account 3 years ago) saying that they had emailed me to let me know. (huh?! You can email previous customers who have closed the account and start charging them again?!
Without their permission?!) I challenged them on the email notification and asked what email address they had used.
Turns out they had "emailed" me using an old phone number as the address - and the phone number was the one I had left with them when I canceled the service so they should have known even that was invalid.
To reiterate, in case you missed it: their official notification was email but using the phone number as the address. Nonsensical!
On the basis of the lack of notification (they would not have agreed if they had had my email address) they agreed to refund my money and close the account.
They only refunded half my money but I am tired of dealing with them.

One word: thiefs.
They retired 200/200/500 plan I was signed for and requested either to accept new 5/25/25 or to cancel account. I cancelled account and asked to refund unused funds from it.
How naive I was.. They told me because I cancelled the account, I was not anymore in their refund policy.

I cann access my account. I asked for a reset password email and I haven't received that either!!!
I just got an email to upgrade my service and you do not let me even to access my account!!!

None of these things have happened! Don't use this company!!!!

SIM activation did not complete: account not created or not accessible
Hello,
I have been using Freedompop several years but this time I encountered very unusual problem.
During activation of SIM with 12 month plan, ICCID 890117****817824****, email arisuny@***.com the webpage froze before opening my account. After reloading I cannot neither access my account (I never receive reset password link) nor repeat the activation from the beginning.

UPDATE ***With third party mediation I was able to get a formal response from Freedompop: "Your request (54993) has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff.
To add additional comments, reply to this email."
After 4 days still no more communication and my phone and account still not working. BTW, without having working account there is no way to add more comments or directly contact FreedomPop.

They charged my account over $106 and I NEVER authorized it and then of course all the phone numbers for customer service simply tell you to go to the web site. This place is awful and criminal. DO NOT give it a try.

Cancellation
I called the numbers listed. Press 1 and a robot says go to FreedomPop.com.
press 2 or 3 and it immediately hangs up. I've gone to website and managed to get the live conversation choice. I gave my information and the tech expert says while I'm filling out the form he'll connect me to the right person. All I get is another choice of spending more money for something I want cancelled.
I've been charged _79.99 for two months now and I want it canceled as well as refund. I've never received a sim card or anything else.
